Personal Therapy for Counsellors & Trainee Counsellors

Training to become a counsellor can be rewarding, but it can also bring personal challenges and increased self-awareness. Many counselling and psychotherapy training courses require students to
undertake personal therapy, sometimes with a specified number of therapy hours.

I offer personal therapy to trainee counsellors, including those completing therapy hours as part of their course, as well as qualified counsellors who would value a confidential therapeutic space of their
own.

A Space for You

Personal therapy provides an opportunity to explore your own experiences, relationships, emotions and patterns in a safe and confidential environment. For qualified practitioners, it can also provide something particularly valuable - a space where you can be the client rather than the counsellor.

My Approach

My Approach

I am an experienced integrative counsellor and qualified Level 6 counselling supervisor (CPCAB). I work primarily with person-centred, psychodynamic, existential and CBT approaches, adapting therapy to
the individual.

I am also currently completing my Master's degree, with my research focusing on the supervisory relationship from the supervisee's perspective.

Personal therapy is separate from supervision. Our sessions focus on you and your needs, rather than your client work.

Therapy Hours & Fees

If your course requires personal therapy hours, I can provide confirmation of attendance where appropriate. Please check your training provider's individual requirements before beginning.

Trainee counsellors and full-time students - £40 per session
Qualified counsellors - £50 per session

If you are looking for your own confidential therapeutic space, please get in touch to discuss whether
working together might be right for you.
